About Ashley

As a graduate student at University of California-Irvine, Ashley's whimsical touch and eagerness to explore unutilized techniques truly allowed her to shine. She displayed an aptitude for worldbuilding in her designs, as exhibited in Airness and Cabaret. She successfully collaborated with directors outside the curriculum on shows like The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)(revised) and Beyond Prison Walls.

Ashley’s creativity is not just limited to the stage! She was a featured designer in the Laguna Art Museum’s Upcycled Couture fashion show, and has displayed her work at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art’s Fashionistas 2025 exhibit.

Ashley Morgan is a Los Angeles costume designer with experience in costume and fashion design utilizing traditional and experimental construction techniques.

Coming from a long line of artists, Ashley was always surrounded by creativity as she grew up. At age 10, she sketched costume ideas for her friends’ fantasy characters, and at 13 she began stitching when she joined the steampunk community, which encouraged her to push her ideas even further.

Ashley is certified in digital textile design (UCI, 2023) and studied theatrical tailoring techniques with Santa Fe Opera’s apprentice program (2024).

Ashley is eager to embrace new and avant-garde ideas and approaches to the world of costume design, believing that no idea is impossible until it’s been proven otherwise. She loves to bring the excitement of her designs to life using the skill set she has honed, and is always willing to explore the creative unknown.
